Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendezvous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. Our key projects include
"Orbit Guard" a nanosatellite capable of monitoring objects in GEO orbit, and "Endurance" a docking service extending customer satellites' lifespans by 5 years.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Situational Space Awareness (SSA) Intern to join our dynamic and international team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Navigation and System Engineering Departments while contributing to innovative projects that are shaping the future of in-orbit services.
Job Description
Analyse data from space-based sensors to survey the GEO belt.
Support the team in preparing technical deliverables for the customer.
Conduct research on sensor capacity to fulfil mission requirements.
Collaborate with the GNC and System Engineering teams to elaborate mission analysis.
Participate in mission and satellite design discussions.
Proceed to simulations of missions using Infinite Orbits tools (also participate in the development of these tools).
Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent, specifically in the field of Aerospace/Space Engineering or related discipline.
Knowledge of satellite architectures, subsystems, Flight Dynamics, control systems and space environments.
Strong interest in optical payloads and communication subsystems.
Coding skills in Matlab/Simulink as well as Python.
Excellent abstraction and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
