About the Company

Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO has two generations of missions 

  • "Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third launching in 2026. 

  • "Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.

About the Role

To complete our dynamic and international team, we are looking for an experienced Software and Network Engineer! You will play a crucial role in supporting the development and deployment of our ground segment software and our network infrastructure.


Job Description

  • Collaborate with the team to support the development and deployment of IO’s ground segment software. 

  • Assist in the integration of network solutions with different simulators and systems that the company is working on, ensuring compatibility and performance. 

  • Draft requirements for mission operations software and ground segment communications. 

  • Design sequence diagrams and network topologies for Infinite Orbits’ missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as IP, TCP/UDP, HTTP, and others.

  • Experience in deploying web applications. This includes working with web servers, 

  • understanding client-server architecture, and familiarity with common web development frameworks and tools. 

  • Coding skills in Python, Java, or C/C++. 

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls. 

  • Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools. 

  • Pro-activeness and ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced and result-oriented environment. 

  • Knowledge of network security practices and tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs. 

  • Excellent communication skills in English.


Good to have:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.

  • Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies, such as VMware, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Knowledge of space communication systems and standards such as ECSS and CCSDS.

  • The French language is a plus.
