Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendezvous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. Our key projects include

"Orbit Guard" a nanosatellite capable of monitoring objects in GEO orbit, and "Endurance" a docking service extending customer satellites' lifespans by 5 years.

About the Role

To cover the resource and competence needs of the projects, we are looking for a subcontractor with the profile of a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager!

Job Description

  • Main Point of Contact: Act as the official liaison between suppliers and the internal organization, ensuring efficient communication and coordination to meet project deadlines, cost targets, and quality standards.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of suppliers and their equipment to ensure effective supplier control, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies for all satellite equipment & subcontracted activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget.

  • Contract Negotiation and Set-Up: In collaboration with the legal department and engineering teams, lead the negotiation and setup of contracts, ensuring that terms and conditions reflect project needs, technical specifications, and compliance standards.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate interfaces with key stakeholders involved in supplier management, including procurement, technical, quality, material & processes, and commercial & contract teams to ensure seamless integration and supplier performance.

  • Supplier Development: When necessary, be involved in supplier development initiatives to improve supplier capabilities and ensure that they meet project requirements.

  • Project Execution: Lead the execution of procurement activities with a focus on meeting critical project milestones, ensuring On-Time, On-Cost, and On-Quality delivery of satellite equipment.

  • Supply Chain Logistics: Oversee logistics, ensuring the timely and efficient transportation and delivery of all components, with particular attention to the space sector's specific handling and quality requirements.

  • Supplier Performance Evaluation: Conduct ongoing supplier performance evaluations, ensuring adherence to contractual terms, international standards, and project-specific requirements.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, delays, or non-conformances, ensuring project continuity and resilience.

  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and detailed reports to the Chief Delivery Officer, ensuring transparency on procurement status, costs, and supplier performance.

  • Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant international standards, regulations, and internal guidelines, particularly those related to the satellite industry.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, supplier agreements, delivery schedules, and quality assurance documents.

Requirements

  • Aerospace Engineering or another relevant engineering degree, with a background in satellite development, space systems, or avionics.

  • Knowledge of satellite-specific systems, such as power systems, communication modules, structural elements, and thermal control units, along with the integration of FPGA, embedded software, and other electronics.

  • Practical experience in the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical, electrical, thermal, and communication systems for satellites.

  • Strong familiarity with design-to-manufacture and design-to-approaches, ensuring smooth integration and cost-efficiency for satellite subsystems.

  • Strong experience in contract negotiation and supplier development within the space or satellite industry, ensuring delivery of high-quality components.

  • Practical knowledge of assembly and production processes related to satellite manufacturing, including equipment integration, qualification, and delivery.

  • In-depth understanding of the satellite supply chain, particularly in sourcing and procuring complex systems such as propulsion modules, structural and communication components.

  • A strong background in the procurement of complex satellite subsystems, particularly electronic and power systems, to ensure compatibility and mission success.

  • Ability to independently drive projects forward, making critical decisions with minimal oversight.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage satellite projects in an international environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate between engineering, procurement, testing, and legal departments to achieve project goals.

  • Expertise in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Experience leading satellite projects through their entire lifecycle, from concept through design, development, testing, integration, and launch.

  • Fluency in English with strong negotiation and communication skills. Fluency in French is a strong plus.
