About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Optics Intern to join our dynamic and international team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in optics and imaging systems while contributing to innovative projects that are shaping the future of in-orbit services.
Job Description
Assist in the design, development, and testing of spaceborne optical systems for rendezvous and docking subsystems.
Contribute to camera calibration, optical alignment, and performance analysis tasks.
Support the evaluation of optical components for use in harsh space environments, including radiation tolerance and thermal stability.
Participate in research related to enhancing optical systems for relative navigation and target detection.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate optics with other subsystems such as guidance, navigation, and control (GNC).
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong interest in the space industry and NewSpace initiatives.
Basic knowledge of optical design tools (e.g., Zemax, Code V) and familiarity with camera systems or image sensors.
Excellent abstraction & problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
