About the Role
The main mission of a Business Development Engineer is to drive business growth by identifying and seizing new sales and Business development opportunities while building and maintaining client relationships.
The assigned missions and tasks are subject to evolution in line with business requirements, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.
Role is located in the US, San Francisco.
Job Description
Conduct technical pre-sales evaluations and manag technical interfaces with clients.
Keep the organisation updated with technology and space market analysis.
Draft technical aspects of proposals, identify future trends, and support sales and marketing efforts.
Collaborate with central sales team to understand client requirements and provide technical expertise during the sales process.
Prepare technical discussions and presentations with clients to demonstrate product capabilities and address technical queries.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry experts.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to advise on product development and market positioning.
Analyse competitor products and strategies to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation.
Work closely with product development teams to provide feedback and insights from client interactions to inform product roadmap decisions.
Skills:
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and engage with clients effectively.
Technical Proficiency: Strong technical background in aerospace sector ideally on satellite system engineering, operations and/or optical subsystem engineering and understanding to effectively communicate complex solutions to clients.
Sales Acumen: Proficient in sales techniques, negotiation, and closing deals to drive revenue growth.
Market Analysis: Ability to conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and trends.

In the process of getting the French or UE nationality.
Ideally get 2 years experience in the space industry.
